Technical Graphics is an option subject offered in Coláiste Dún an Rí. The subject teachers are Mr. Lynch and Mr. O' Brien. In Technical Graphics students will study areas surrounding architecture, design, engineering and many other associated areas. Technical Graphics consists mostly of drawing accurate 2D and 3D drawings of everyday objects from various different views. The teachers of Technical Graphics in Coláiste Dún an Rí will also emphasis a large degree of design based assessments outside of the subject specification in order to prepare students for the best transition to Design and Communication Graphics (DCG) at senior cycle

Our 1st year groups have been working hard throughout September familiarising themselves with the equipment and basic drawing techniques needed for Technical Graphics. so far our classes have learned how to set up their sheets with a border and a title block and have also completed a number of popular logos and design based drawings. Excellent work so far by all concerned...
